The young soprano Mira Cöppikus has been studying classical singing/musical theatre in the bachelor's programme at the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy University of Music and Theatre in Leipzig in Prof. Brigitte Wohlfarth's singing class since September 2022. Even before beginning her studies, she received formative vocal inspiration from the Polish opera singer Lucja Zarzycka.

She has received numerous awards for her artistic achievements. Most recently, she was awarded the Culture Promotion Prize of the City of Lünen in 2025. In January 2025, she reached the final of the Richard Wagner Competition in Leipzig. Her outstanding musical achievements were recognised with the Germany Scholarship in 2024 and 2025. At the I. Young Voices Alpe Adria International Competition in Graz in August of the same year, she reached the final and received a recognition award for outstanding artistic achievements. In November 2023, she won first prize at the VIII. Danubia Talents International Competition in Budapest. As a child and teenager, she also enjoyed repeated success at Jugend musiziert. Jugend musiziert mehrfach erfolgreich.

She gained opera experience in, among other things, the university production of Leoš Janáček's The Cunning Little Vixen (2023, directed by Karoline Gruber), in which she played several roles: Grasshopper, Pepík, Fox Child and Chorister. The following year, she sang the roles of the Second Conversa and Cercatrice in Giacomo Puccini's Suor Angelica (directed by Lea Willeke). In 2024, she also appeared in the chorus of Otto Nicolai's The Merry Wives of Windsor, another production directed by Karoline Gruber. She played her first major role in November 2025 in Benjamin Britten's The Turn of the Screw as Mrs Grose, directed by Michael Höppner.
