Mira Cöppikus is a young German soprano with a lyrical voice and dramatic potential.

Young soprano Mira Cöppikus completed her Bachelor of Music in Classical Voice / Music Theatre from 2022 to 2026, studying in the voice studio of Prof. Brigitte Wohlfarth at the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy University of Music and Theatre Leipzig. Since September 2026, she has continued her training there in the consecutive Master's program in Opera Singing – again under the guidance of Prof. Wohlfarth.

Alongside her studies, she has continued to develop her artistry — since 2021 through regular workshops and repeated participation in summer masterclasses in Meissen with Lucja Zarzycka, with whom she also prepared for her entrance examination.

Mira began her vocal training at an early age at the Lünen Music School, where she sang in the children's, youth and chamber choirs under the direction of Monika Bergmann for many years and received her first singing lessons at the age of ten. In Berlin, she took lessons with Silvia Lacchia and began the preparatory programme at the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf Music School with Éloïse Cenac-Morthé. In 2021, she sang in the youth choir of the Staatsoper Unter den Linden in Berlin for several months and had the opportunity to perform as a soloist and chorister at the anniversary of the Vienna State Opera's opera school, among other events.

Mira has already received numerous awards for her artistic achievements.

The City of Lünen awarded her the Kulturförderpreis (Arts Promotion Award) in 2025, honoring her commitment and artistic career to date.

She is a finalist for the Richard Wagner Young Talent Award (January 2025) as well as the Bundeswettbewerb Gesang Berlin (Federal Singing Competition, November 2024).

In winter 2024, she was accepted as a scholarship holder of Yehudi Menuhin Live Music Now e.V.

At the international Young Voices Alpe Adria competition in Graz (August 2024), she was honored as a finalist with an award of distinction for outstanding artistic achievement.

In 2024 and 2025, she was supported by the Deutschlandstipendium (Germany Scholarship).

She was also awarded 1st prize at the VIII. Danubia Talents International Competition in Budapest in 2023, her first international competition.

In her youth, she took part several times, very successfully, in Jugend musiziert, winning first prizes — the first time at the age of 12.

The young soprano gained her first stage experience in opera in university productions:

In May 2026, she was on stage in the university production of Ferruccio Busoni's Arlecchino Op. 50 as Colombina — directed by Karoline Gruber, with musical direction by Matthias Foremny.

She embodied her first major role in November 2025 in Benjamin Britten's The Turn of the Screw as Mrs Grose, directed by Michael Höppner.

In 2024, she sang in the chorus of Otto Nicolai's The Merry Wives of Windsor, a production directed by Karoline Gruber. The Merry Wives of Windsor, a production directed by Karoline Gruber.

That same year, she appeared in Giacomo Puccini's Suor Angelica (2024, directed by Lea Willeke) as the Second Conversa and Cercatrice.

In Leoš Janáček's The Cunning Little Vixen (2023, directed by Karoline Gruber), she took on several roles at once — Cricket, Pepik, and Fox Cub — and also performed in the chorus.
